Regina Taylor is an award-winning actress, playwright, and director known for work that centers Black stories and untold histories. With Exhibit by Regina Taylor, she brings a powerful exploration of erasure, memory, and the battle to preserve history.
Lastly, Regina Taylor’s career is all about acting, writing, directing, and activism, all rooted in a commitment to uplift Black voices and preserve stories that are being forgotten.
Exhibit by Regina Taylor is the story of Iris, an African American artist whose legacy is being erased. As her work is removed from museums and her biography disappears from records. Iris begins to recall powerful memories from her past, including her childhood experience while also integrating an all-white school during the Civil Rights Movement.
Through flashbacks and storytelling, Exhibit by Regina Taylor presents a country grappling with its past and uncertain about its future. At stake, Iris’s story struggles with one simple question about society: Are we moving forward, or are we moving backward?
